About 

Sean has his Masters in Education from the SUNY Buffalo and his Bachelors in English Literature from the City University of New York. When teaching in New York State, Sean passed the proficiency exams in all four core content areas of curriculum (Math, Science, English, History), the bilingual educator's exam in Spanish, and is presently certificated in California as an education specialist and cross-cultural educator. 

 

Prior to college, Sean served in the AmeriCorps program, City Year: New York, providing literacy support and after school program-planning for low-income communities. Following graduate school, Sean  joined Teach for America: Buffalo, and served as a special education instructor for recently arrived immigrants in Buffalo, New York. 

 

Sean has over 10 years of experience teaching, coaching and tutoring youth of all ages and backgrounds. He has developed programs for social-emotional learning and executive functioning in the public school system and worked with dozens of students,  families, and adult learners to create individualized plans for succeeding in academic, social, and professional environments.
